Introduction: I´m Finnish, media oriented artist, based on England now. I graduated from MA Film studies at Screen Academy Scotland 2011. One of the long term projects is directing + DP first feature lengt documentary 2008–2012. I`m one big happy woman doing what I always wanted to do, passion for telling true based stories.
Tervetuloa kaksikielisille kotisivuilleni! Elokuvakoulusta valmistumisen jälkeen, 2011, keskityn nyt sen ensimmäisen pitkän dokumenttielokuvan valmiiksi saattamiseen.

Too close the subject?
I have opened up new online shop for merchandise, clothing and other items, related for my film projects and geeky computing. This is another way of supporting, by buying something unique for yourself. This gives couple of euros per item for me.
The other brand is "Soippa" shop, where I'll create products based on my own art work, ink drawings for starters.
And if you want to buy original piece of my art, here's some photos to preview for starters
My first feature length documentary film has many names, as all the loved ones do - it's Maria Eveliina's story, but the film is also called as MIX 1/2 Albanian. I began following and documenting Maria's story in 2007, in Albania, Finland and Sweden. The film comes out as fun and humorous, even the main character has to decide whether to look for her unknown Albanian father and to recognize her diagnosis of depression.
We'll ask the audience too, what's their "safety blanket", how to handle hard times.
More info, and how you can help the film to get there, at movie's homepage

I'm working with graduation film this summer 2011. Bully Factory is a strong 10 min short drama inspirited by by Ville Vuorela's autobiographical book The problem child factory, the school days and work life of a nerd (Häirikkötehdas). One version of the pitch line could be like this:
21st century high productive school system allows dark age way of bullying. The hero from game world turns out to a real life saver.
About the production status, we are in ongoing script development, scouting locations and starting with casting. Shootings are at Edinburgh area, at the end of July, post-production starting at August 2011. Release during 2012. I got great, international people to work this piece together.

I'm done with my new videopainting "Looking for Kea" and it's published as an open source media project, under CC-Creative Commons license. It means that I give rights for the video and all the material for similar CC use. Anyone can, for example use, edit, remix, republish everything. It's the first project for me, as an artist, to support the ideology of open source by act. Ask for files if interested.
First screening of video "Looking for Kea" will be at the opening of Art Fair Suomi 2010 exhibition in Helsinki in August. If you wonder what Kea means, it is unique, threatened alpine bird, one of parrots.

I took language courses, year off from work and travelled in NZ the year 2010. Must see feature films from New Zealand directors:
Whale Rider, 2003. Director Niki Caro. (What a lovely way of telling traditional story and the young girl was perfect to the role of Paikea)
The Lord of the Rings, 2001, 2002, 2003. Director Peter Jackson. (Favorite movies which I could see again and again, but only from big screen!)
Once were warriors, 1994. Director Lee Tamahori.
The Piano, 1993. Director Jane Campion. (So much better than just a typical love story, awful and beautiful, leaving space for non-talking.)
An angel at my table, 1990. Director Jane Campion. (Based on true story of NZ writer Janet Frame )
There are many more films, but from these you will get the feeling and scenery of Islands, also short look for the culture.
Films that are filmed in New Zealand, example:
- The Last Samurai, 2004. Director: Ed Zwick

12 movies I remember well, because...
Psycho, 1960. Director Alfred Hitchcock. He was the first director I knew by name. I was allowed to see his horror movies too young but they were really effective.
E.T. 1982. Director Steven Spielberg. This might have been the first movie I saw in cinema and remember been crying a lot.
The dirty dancing, 1987. Director Emile Ardolino. The dance movie and the love story hit to me as teenage girl, of course!
The Silence of the Lambs, 1991 (Uhrilampaat). Director Jonathan Demme. It is so scary, that I don't want to see it again, but it was intensive like hell!
Kaivo, 1992. Director Pekka Lehto. Finnish film, as melancholic as you can ever think, worst Finnish angst and sadness. I saw it in Oulu with my friends and it was hard to say anything afterwards and actually, when comi ng out from film theatre, we saw a car accident, crushed because people were so touched about the movie.
Piano, 1993. Director Jane Campion. I love it as visual and plain story telling. This is the movie I have seen for many times.
Kauas pilvet karkaavat, 1996. Director Aki Kaurismäki. I am a fan of Aki and like his brother's, Mika, movies too. Pictures tells everything and few dialog.
Chicken run, 2000. Directors: Peter Lord and Nick Park. I am not sure if this is my favorite one, but I want to tell about my love to animation and respect towards films made by the Aardman Animations studios.
Isältä pojalle, 2004, Director Visa Koiso-Kanttila. A Finnish documentary film which I prefer because of personal involvement from the director.
Tyttö sinä olet tähti, 2005. Director Dome Karukoski. Like dirty dancing almost twenty years earlier, this Finnish teenage love story touched me. The music was great!
Paha maa, 2005. Director Aku Louhimies. Finnish draama stops to think the ugly side of human.
Inconvenient truth, 2006. Director Davis Guggenheim. All the points to those directors, who can make the difference and really affect to people's behavior – even for a while.
